Personal and Commercial Lines Property Desk Claims Adjuster

We are currently looking for career-minded individuals to become Commercial and Personal Property Desk Adjuster to support our CA and western region. In this role, you will manage, investigate and resolve commercial property losses of moderate to severe complexity with minimal supervision to include investigations, evaluating and analyzing coverage, completing property damage estimates and supplements, reporting findings to various clients, and handling files to the conclusion of the claim.

In this role, you will:

· Handle daily claims within the coverage territory

· Complete desk investigations including managing field inspections, interviews, preparing diagrams, analyzing photographs, writing desk estimates and various other tasks

· Analyze insurance coverage issues on specific claims and make appropriate recommendations to our clients

· Prepare detailed estimates in Xactimate based on our client’s specifications and parameters

· Prepare clear, concise, and timely narrative reports for our clients

· Maintain continuous and professional communication with our clients to ensure their needs are being met.

· Analyze and evaluate damages including reserves, property estimates, business personal property inventories, business interruption, and business income losses

· Investigate, analyze, adjust and negotiate settlements with insureds in compliance with our client’s direction

· Coordinate and oversee vendors such as emergency service contractors, origin and cause investigators, general contractors, engineers, etc.

Qualifications:

· 5+ years of Personal and Commercial Property adjusting experience required

· Licensed in the state of CA or your home state

· Thorough knowledge and understanding of roofing, HVAC, and various other mechanical specialties

· Knowledge of Personal and Commercial Lines insurance policies

· Proficient in Xactimate including Sketch. Xactimate certifications are preferred.

· Previous experience creating ITV calculations in Xactimate required.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

· Effective negotiation skills

· Ability to effectively and independently manage workload

· Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Understands and displays a sense of urgency in claims handling

· Exceptional organization and time management skills in a remote environment

· Ability to travel up to 20% for client meetings and/or training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000 per year
