We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support clients with memory care, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or autism by implementing specialized techniques and providing emotional reassurance
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform patient transfers safely while managing heavy lifting tasks when required
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in accordance with healthcare standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid
- Familiarity with care plans and working within HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> lifts
- Excellent communication skills for working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other special needs
- Valid certifications in CPR and first aid; additional training in hospice or memory care is a plus
- Compassionate attitude combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
