We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe changes in health status to ensure safety and well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support patients during medical appointments or therapy sessions, including patient monitoring and documentation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to assist with mobility and transfer needs
- Document care activities meticulously and communicate effectively with healthcare teams or family members
Skills
- Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice support
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders
- Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience with medication administration is highly desirable
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks when assisting residents
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
