Personal Assistant Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe changes in health status to ensure safety and well-being
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
• Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Support patients during medical appointments or therapy sessions, including patient monitoring and documentation
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to assist with mobility and transfer needs
• Document care activities meticulously and communicate effectively with healthcare teams or family members

Skills

• Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care environments
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice support
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders
• Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience with medication administration is highly desirable
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks when assisting residents
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
• Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Compassionate demeanor combined with patience, adaptability, and attention to detail
