Personal Assistant Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in health status to ensure timely intervention
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
  • Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and repositioning
  • Conduct light cleaning and household chores to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing home environments, or long-term care settings
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
  • Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training preferred but not required
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's) or memory care needs
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with transfers or mobility support
  • Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring tools, and documentation procedures in healthcare settings
  • Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills and patience for working with diverse populations
