Personal Assistant Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing symptoms, and reporting changes promptly
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
• Support clients with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation

Requirements

• Prior experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or dementia care are a plus
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are advantageous for community-based care roles
