POSITION OVERVIEW: We're seeking a helpful, kind-hearted personal assistant with genuine passion for dogs and a positive attitude. You'll show real affection to every pet in our care, bring enthusiasm to your work, and feel comfortable offering suggestions. With flexible 24-hour scheduling availability, you'll be a trusted team member working directly with the owner to support our grooming, daycare, and boarding operations. We're particularly interested in candidates interested in learning and developing grooming skills in a welcoming, pet-focused environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transport owner and owner's dogs for business operations using your personal vehicle
• Learn and adhere to proper check-in/check-out procedures and record-keeping
• Safely handle and restrain animals during bathing, grooming, and procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
• Bathe dogs with attention to coat condition and skin health
• Perform pre-shave preparation and proper handling techniques
• Dry dogs using appropriate grooming tools and techniques
• Assist with dog daycare supervision and enrichment activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with pet parents
• Handle all pets with care and patience, prioritizing their safety and comfort
• Learn dog behavior and pet safety standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
• Genuine passion for animals and commitment to pet welfare
• Ability to lift and handle dogs of all sizes (up to 50+ lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Willingness to learn grooming standards and techniques

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 0-1 year animal care experience (shelter volunteering, pet sitting, prior grooming salon assistance)
• Basic understanding of dog breeds and behavior
• Customer service experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
• Exposure to water, grooming chemicals, and dog hair
• Ability to work flexible scheduling including potential weekends/holidays
