Personal Assistant/Caregiver

PACE offers an orientation and placement on a referral list for potential Personal Assistants (PA) who would like to find work assisting consumers with disabilities. We are looking for reliable, dependable individuals who want to make a difference. Personal Assistants provide support and services that enable individuals with disabilities to remain in their homes.

Personal Assistants who are interested will attend an orientation that assists in understanding the requirements of being a PA. The orientation consists of understanding the PA program, qualifications and the process on how to be a PA. You must attend the orientation to be placed on our referral list. We are currently looking for PAs in the Champaign and Piatt counties.

Some of the duties of a PA include:

- Personal care such as bathing, bathroom assistance, dressing and grooming

- Assistance with physical needs such as transferring and mobility exercises

- Homemaking services such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, shopping, budgeting and light secretarial work

- Running errands and setting up transportation

**Right now we are especially seeking people who can assist consumers with bathroom and dressing needs. This includes changing depends and stoma care.**

This is not a guaranteed job, only a referral list. We will give potential PA names to the Employers after the PA completes the orientation. The more dependable, available and willing to do various tasks you are, the more likely you will be hired from the list. PACE Inc. Center for Independent Living is not the employer. Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
