Personal Care Aide/Home Health Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and caring Personal Care Aide and Home Health Aide to provide personal care assistance, medication reminders and performs household services essential to health care in the home. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those requiring memory care, needing assistance with transferring, and general assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Support clients in mobility and lifting as needed to ensure their safety.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
  • Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed regimens.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
  • Document care provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare systems.
  • Work collaboratively with family members and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in home community care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting clients with mobility.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Familiarity with hospice care principles is advantageous but not required.
  • Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
