Personal Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to an individual requiring total assistance with daily activities and personal needs. The Personal Care Assistant will work closely with the individual and healthcare teams to deliver personalized care in the home setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes promptly to healthcare professionals and supervisors.
• Maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning and laundry.
• Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility assistance.
• Document care provided.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.

Skills

• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring to ensure safety and well-being.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically assist clients during transfers or mobility activities.
• Strong understanding and adherence to HIPAA privacy standards.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with individuals, their families, and healthcare teams.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
