Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition and reporting concerns to nursing staff.
- Help with mobility assistance, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely as required by healthcare protocols.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant not necessary (Training will be provided)
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology related to geriatrics and emergency medicine is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining compassion and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by the facility policies.
- Certification in CPR or First Aid is preferred but not mandatory upon hiring.

-Must be able to provide proof of citizenship.
