Job Title: Female Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Job Summary: As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate, in-home assistance to individuals who require support with daily living activities. Your primary responsibility is to improve the quality of life for clients by offering tailored personal care services while promoting independence and dignity.
Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other personal hygiene tasks.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients move around their homes, including walking, wheelchair transfers, and bed positioning.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take medications as prescribed and assist with medication administration if needed.
- Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in meaningful conversations, and accompany clients on social outings or appointments.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities, observations, and any incidents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in personal care or healthcare preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, compassion, and a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and assisting clients.
