Part-Time Personal & Family Assistant (Seattle, WA)

We’re casting—not hiring—for a part-time Personal & Family Assistant who brings steadiness, joy, and accountability to the rhythm of two entrepreneurial families.

Your Role in the Story:
You’ll support afternoon transitions, child pickups, light food prep, household tasks, and errands that keep things running smoothly. Your reliability creates trust. Your warmth builds connection. Your presence brings peace.
Schedule: Initial hours begin with 18-22 hours/week with a consistent weekly rhythm and will shift slightly in mid-June and September:
Initial Hours (~18-22 hours/week)
- Mon: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM (N Seattle)
- Tues: 2:25–5:00 PM (N Seattle)
- Wed: 11:00 AM–5:30 PM (S Seattle)
- Thurs: 2:25–5:30 PM (S Seattle)
- Alt Fri: 2:25–5:00 PM (S Seattle)
Beginning in June both households will be in North Seattle. Schedules will alternate weekly.
Summer Schedule (~12-16 hours/week)

- Tues-Thurs: 3:00–5:00 PM
- Chris’s support schedule
- Mon: 11:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Tues-Fri: 3:00–5:30 PM
School Schedule (~15-20 hours/week)

- Mon: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Tues: 2:25–5:00 PM
- Wed: 1:10–5:00 PM
- Thurs: 2:25–5:00 PM
- Chris’s support schedule
- Mon: 11:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Tues: 2:25–5:30 PM
- Wed: 1:10–5:30 PM
- Thurs-Fri: 2:25–5:30 PM
What You’ll Do:
- Pick up kids from school or summer camp and create smooth, engaging after-school transitions
- Proactively feed and snack kids on a regular schedule — consistent fueling is key to smooth afternoons
- Support simple meal prep as needed
- Help keep the homes tidy and in flow: fold laundry, take out trash/recycling, general organization
- Run occasional errands (groceries, returns, mail package, pet support)
- Bring a consistent, reliable presence and positive energy to both households
- Bring consistent structure to daily routines and transitions
- Coordinate with a virtual team
You’re a Fit if You:
- Have a safe, insured vehicle and are confident driving in the Seattle area
- Love supporting families and understand the rhythm of a home
- Are routine-oriented in your own life and bring that structure to others — you make calm, confident decisions without over-negotiating
- Can redirect kids firmly and warmly — you hold the line without losing the connection
- Take ownership and show initiative — we love people who anticipate needs
- Communicate proactively when you're uncertain or stretched — we'd rather hear it early
- Are tech-comfortable (text/voice memos/scheduling apps)
- Have childcare or family support experience and genuinely love kids
- Bonus if you're open to occasional overnight support

We’re looking for someone to start May 4 and see this position as a long-term contribution to our work and family. This is a W2 position with paid time off, paid sick leave, and mileage reimbursement.
