Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting personal injury litigation cases from inception to resolution. Duties
- Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases, including case intake, file organization, and tracking deadlines.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Review and organize medical records, accident reports, and other evidence pertinent to personal injury claims.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, medical providers, and experts through interviewing and follow-up communications to gather necessary information.
- Manage case files using legal case management systems like Smart Advocate; ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support litigation activities including filing documents with courts, scheduling depositions, and preparing trial exhibits.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, document review, proofreading, transcription, and maintaining organized filing systems.
- Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing cases or firm initiatives to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients or external parties while providing executive administrative support as needed.
Skills
- Proven paralegal experience with a focus on personal injury law or related practice areas such as workers' compensation law or family law.
- Strong knowledge of legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis; ability to efficiently locate relevant case law and statutes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal administrative software such as iManage, PCLaw, or similar document management systems.
- Skilled in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and document review processes with high attention to detail.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
