In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing legal documents, managing case files, and coordinating with attorneys to ensure smooth and efficient handling of personal injury claims. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by gathering and organizing evidence, medical records, and relevant documentation related to personal injury claims.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and opposing counsel.
- Manage case files through legal case management systems like CloudLex and document management platforms ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely updates.
- Interview clients, witnesses, medical providers, and experts to obtain detailed information pertinent to personal injury cases.
- Coordinate depositions, court filings, and scheduling of hearings or meetings while maintaining organized calendars.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, proofreading legal documents, transcribing recordings, and managing filing systems for efficient workflow.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years of paralegal experience in plaintiff's side personal injury law in the State of New York.
- Familiarity with legal research tools including Westlaw, LexisNexis, or CloudLex for case analysis and documentation a plus.
- Strong understanding of legal administrative processes such as document review, filing procedures, and case management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective interviewing skills combined with professional phone etiquette for client interactions.
- Knowledge of plaintiff's side personal injury law, No Fault Regulations, and Medical Malpractice or Nursing Home Practice a plus.
- Demonstrated research skills using Westlaw or LexisNexis to support case development.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading accuracy is essential.
- Experience with document management systems like CloudLex or similar platforms for efficient file organization.

- Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Annual Salary Range: $60,000 to $80,000.
