Personal Injury Paralegal

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our litigation team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting personal injury litigation cases from filing through resolution. Your expertise will help streamline case management, facilitate effective communication with clients and witnesses, and ensure all legal documentation is accurate and timely. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting pleadings and primarily discovery requests and responses for personal injury claims
  • Manage case files using document management systems, ensuring all records are organized and up-to-date
  • Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for ongoing cases
  • Review and analyze medical records, accident reports, and other pertinent documents for accuracy and relevance
  • Prepare trial exhibits, summaries, and timelines to facilitate litigation processes
  • Maintain communication with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and court personnel to ensure smooth case progression

Skills

  • Proven paralegal experience with a focus on personal injury law or related litigation fields
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Significant experience with written discovery
  • Effective interviewing techniques to gather detailed information from clients and witnesses
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to personal injury cases is a plus
  • Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Attention to detail for proofreading, document review, and transcription tasks
  • Familiarity with document review procedures and data entry accuracy
  • Ability to handle administrative tasks including filing, data management, and clerical support with professionalism and efficiency
  • Strong phone etiquette combined with excellent organizational skills to coordinate schedules and communicate effectively
