Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. In this role, you will support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution. Your expertise will help streamline case workflows, facilitate effective communication with clients and experts, and ensure handling of legal documents. Duties
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement documents
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
- Manage case files using Clio Case Management Software
- Review and organize medical records, accident reports, and other pertinent documentation related to personal injury claims
- Interview clients, witnesses, medical providers, and experts to gather essential information for case development
- Prepare summaries of depositions, medical reports, and other evidence to assist attorneys in case analysis
- Coordinate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and courts to facilitate smooth case progression
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and clarity; assist in legal drafting and transcription tasks as needed
- Maintain organized schedules for court deadlines, appointments, and client meetings while managing multiple cases efficiently
- Support administrative functions including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and general clerical duties to ensure seamless office operations
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience with a focus on personal injury law or related practice areas such as workers' compensation or litigation.
- Knowledge of Clio Legal Management Software is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with legal research techniques and conducting comprehensive investigations into case facts.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting pleadings, correspondence, and reports with precision and professionalism.
- Experience with document review, proofreading, transcription, contracts drafting, and file management systems.
- Ability to communicate professionally via phone etiquette while maintaining client confidentiality and sensitivity
- Strong administrative skills including data entry, filing procedures, clerical experience and executive administrative support capabilities
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
