Personal Injury Paralegal

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of personal injury/wrongful death laws and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. This role is pivotal in supporting attorneys with various legal tasks, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and timely. The Personal Injury Paralegal will work closely with clients, attorneys, and court personnel, contributing to a positive and efficient legal process.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents related to Personal Injury cases, including petitions, motions, and supportive orders.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as WestLaw to support case preparation.
• Manage case files and maintain document management systems for easy access and organization.
• Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and proofreading documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in Personal Injury law matters.
• Prepare exhibits and evidence for court hearings and trials.
• Stay updated on changes in Personal Injury regulations and procedures to provide accurate information.

Experience

• Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm, preferably focusing on Personal Injury.
• Strong skills in legal drafting, clerical work, data entry, and document management systems.
• Familiarity with criminal law or family injury law is a plus but not required.
• Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
