Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support in managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will help streamline case workflows, facilitate effective communication with clients and attorneys, and ensure meticulous handling of legal documentation. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with case intake, client interviews, and gathering relevant documentation to build strong personal injury claims
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations related to personal injury law and other practice areas as needed
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence
  • Support litigation processes by preparing exhibits, coordinating depositions, and tracking deadlines for filings and court appearances
  • Perform document review and data entry tasks with precision to maintain accurate case records
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, handling phone inquiries with professionalism, and supporting overall office operations

Qualifications

  • Proven paralegal experience with a focus on personal injury law or related practice areas such as workers' compensation or family law
  • Strong knowledge of legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with UCC law, estate planning, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, securities law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, and other legal specialties is a plus
  • Proficiency in legal administrative software such as PCLaw and document management systems like iManage or Westlaw Practice Manager
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; strong proofreading and transcription abilities
  • Effective interviewing skills to gather pertinent client information accurately
  • Knowledge of litigation procedures and document review processes within a busy law office environment
  • Ability to perform legal research independently using Westlaw or LexisNexis; familiarity with legal case management practices is preferred
  • Strong clerical experience including filing, data entry, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions
