Personal Injury Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, reliable and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal and/or Legal Assistant to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will provide support in personal injury cases, either with administrative assistance or assisting attorneys with case preparation. Duties

• Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution, including case file management.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and reports with accuracy.
• Organize and maintain case files using case management software such as Smart Advocate.
• Prepare discovery documents, coordinate depositions, and assist with trial preparation.
• Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather relevant information for cases.
• Manage calendar deadlines, court filings, and document submissions.
• Perform administrative tasks including answering phones, data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and maintaining organized case records.
• Provide executive administrative support as needed, including phone etiquette and organizational assistance to attorneys.

Requirements

• Experience in a plaintiff's personal injury firm preferred
• Experience with legal case management software such as Smart Advocate preferred but not required
• Spanish speaking preferred but not required
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in data entry, file management, and clerical tasks within a busy law office environment.
• Effective interviewing skills for client intake and witness interviews.
• Strong administrative skills including phone etiquette and professional communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
