Personal Lines Account Manager

Position Summary

The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a book of personal insurance clients. This role involves handling all aspects of the client relationship, including renewals, policy changes, marketing, quoting, and day-to-day service needs. The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and works closely with producers, carriers, and internal staff to ensure superior service and account retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a book of personal lines insurance accounts, including auto, homeowners, umbrella, and other personal P&C coverages.
  • Handle client inquiries promptly and professionally via phone, email, or in person.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and responsiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to promote retention and generate referrals.
  • Process new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and policy changes.
  • Review renewal policies proactively, providing coverage recommendations to clients. Identify coverage gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Quote new policies and remarket accounts as needed to ensure competitive pricing and appropriate coverage.
  • Assist clients with the claims process, providing guidance and support throughout.
  • Maintain accurate records in the agency management system.
  • Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate policy processing.
  • Support the sale and servicing of basic individual life insurance policies as needed.
  • Adhere to all agency guidelines and carrier underwriting requirements.
  • Participate in training and maintain all necessary licensing and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of personal lines experience, preferably in an independent agency setting.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
  • Life & Health insurance license preferred.
  • Basic familiarity with individual life insurance products is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems (AMS360 preferred).
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and standard business software.

Work Environment:

· Hybrid -3 days in-office.

· Fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

· Occasional in-person client meetings or insurance carrier interactions may be required.

· Occasional overtime may be needed during busy periods.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
