Personal Lines Insurance Department Leader

The Mallory Agency is seeking a personal lines department leader with an incredible attitude and work ethic. An individual who is team spirited and constantly strives for excellence. Experience in driving growth and client retention by managing, mentoring, and training a team of insurance professionals. A Georgia Property & Casualty Insurance license with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience is required. This self-motivated individual will manage a small book of business nurturing client relationships while portraying our agency four standards of excellence: professionalism, emotional intelligence, business acumen and technical skill set.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and motivate staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage training.
• Performance & Growth: Set and track sales goals, monitor retention rates, and implement strategies for new business development.
• Operational Management: Audit, and enforce workflows and procedures (e.g., in Applied Epic) to ensure compliance, accuracy and efficiency.
• Customer Service: Address complex client inquiries, escalations, and retention issues.
• Carrier Relations: Act as a liaison between the agency and insurance carriers to resolve coverage or underwriting issues.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Licensing: Active Georgia Property & Casualty (P&C) license.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of personal lines insurance products, coverage forms, and risk management strategies.
• Experience: 5 years in personal lines insurance, with previous supervisory experience.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for team leadership and client negotiations.

Qualifications:

• College degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
• Proficiency in a technological agency environment. Including Word, Excel, Power Point . Applied Epic experience a plus.
• 5 years of personal lines insurance experience
• Professional designations are preferred but not required: CIC, CISR, AAI
