Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment that encourages social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning patient areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.

Skills

• Proven experience in home & community care or long-term care settings, including assisted living or nursing homes.
• Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals, residents’ families, and team members.
