Summary: The Personnel Specialist performs a variety of office and clerical work requiring an understanding of established operational procedures and processes. The work of this position involves completing staffing related work necessary to the processing and employment of employees, scheduling, email notifications, recording and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Arranges interviews with Supervisors and Principals for applicants.

Assists with the recruitment of prospective employees

Performs general clerical duties

Supports the employee leaves process

Accurately inputs employee data into the district's employee database

Compiles special reports, as directed.

Prepares replies to correspondence from detailed notes; sending correspondence to employees related to employment and status changes

Answers telephone calls and questions on the employment process and a variety of staffing procedures and policies.

Prepares comprehensive packets containing important forms and information related to the hiring process.

Reviews and processes transcripts and verifications of employment.

Organizes a variety of materials related to the employment process.

Prepares materials for meetings.

Screens telephone calls, incoming mail, and schedules appointments.

Directly supports the hiring and onboarding process

Essential Functions/Qualifications/Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or high school equivalency plus three years of clerical experience. Graduation from an accredited college may be substituted for one and a half years of the required experience.

Technological Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in general use of a computer, the use of Email as a form of communication, and other job-specific equipment, software, and/or applications.
