Pest Control Service Technician – (Sarasota/Manatee/Hillsborough)

We are looking for a disciplined, ethical, and detail-oriented technician to service, manage, and expand a mixed residential and commercial route.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay: $25.00 – $27.00/hour (Based on experience).
- Retention Bonus: 1% annual bonus for all recurring accounts acquired and retained. (After your 60 days).
- Performance Pay: Uncapped commission on additional services and performance bonuses. (After your 60 days).
- Benefits: 64 hours of PTO (Grows annually) and paid major holidays (After 60 days).
- Health Plan: Company-paid health discount plan (After 60 days)
- Schedule: Monday- Friday. 7:15-4 pm. No nights, no weekends. Paid for a 30-minute lunch. Extra OT is frequently offered but not required.
- Equipment: Wrapped, company truck, high-quality equipment, and your choice of preferred chemicals to ensure professional success.
The Role
You aren't just a "spray tech." You are a service professional responsible for:
- Precision Route Management: Executing daily routes with efficiency and technical accuracy.
- Expert Inspections: Conducting thorough assessments and applying targeted treatments that meet Florida regulations and our 5-star standards.
- Client Consultation: Acting as a subject matter expert to explain "the why" behind your treatments to homeowners and business owners, building the value of your service.
- Ethical Upselling: Identifying and recommending needed additional services based on actual client needs.
- Documentation: Maintaining meticulous service reports via company software.
- Pests Handled: General Pests, Termites, Mosquitoes, Bed Bugs, German Roaches, and Moles
- Wildlife Handled: (Not all are expected from the Pest Control Division) Rats, Mice, Squirrels, Bats, Raccoons, Opossums, and Armadillos
- Decontamination Services: Rodent Feces Cleanup, Enzyme Treatments, and Ozone Treatments
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in professional pest control (Florida experience preferred).
- Licensing: Florida Certified Operator (GHP or Termite) is a plus.
- Technical Standards: Zero-compromise attention to detail in field work and documentation.
- Professionalism: Clean appearance and the ability to speak confidently with premium clientele.
- Communication: Professional appearance and the ability to speak confidently with high-end clientele.
- Reliability: Clean, insurable driving record. Punctuality is non-negotiable.
- Background: Must pass a Level 2 background check.
- Mindset: A team-first attitude. We are building a durable, long-term team; individual heroics do not replace system discipline.
Company Qualifications
- State Certified: GHP and Termite/WDO
- NWCOA Certifications: Rodent, Bat, & Urban Bird Management Certifications
- Pest Management University: Completed General Household Pest Foundations and Master's level courses. Also, Termite and Wood-Destroying Organism Foundations and Master's level.
- Ownership: Our industry-leading exclusion team is backed by an owner with a Construction Degree, ensuring our processes are structurally sound and superior to the competition.
- Trade Memberships: NWCOA and NPMA members.
