Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Pet Care Provider to join our team. This role includes dog walking, drop-in visits, and occasional pet sitting/overnight care. Ideal candidates are responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs safely in various weather conditions
• Provide drop-in visits for feeding, fresh water, and companionship
• Administer basic medications if needed (training provided)
• Clean up after pets (yards, litter boxes, accidents)
• Follow detailed care instructions for each pet
• Send updates, photos, and visit reports to clients
• Ensure pets’ safety and well-being at all times
• Secure clients’ homes (locking doors, alarms if applicable)

Requirements

• Must love animals and have experience with dogs and/or cats
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Smartphone with data (for scheduling and updates)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Able to walk multiple dogs and handle dogs of various sizes/temperaments
• Physically able to walk, bend, and be active for extended periods
• Must be available Sundays

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous professional pet care, veterinary, or animal experience
• Knowledge of animal behavior and basic training
• Experience administering medication
