Receptionist
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and customer service, ensuring that every client and their pets feel welcomed and valued. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our salon, providing excellent service to our clients while managing appointments and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression.
• Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations, ensuring an organized calendar for services.
• Provide information about services offered, including pet grooming, training, and care options.
• Assist with the check-in and check-out process for clients, handling payments and inquiries efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area, ensuring all materials are stocked and organized.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly with professionalism.
• Collaborate with grooming staff to ensure seamless communication regarding client needs and preferences.
• Laundry, making finish touches such as bows and bandannas, cleaning kennels after each dog leaves.
• Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and basic trimming to keep animals looking their best.
• Manage reception duties by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ care and any special instructions or concerns.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service is essential; experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with dog training, veterinary technician or assistant experience, equine experience, or kennel experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly to assist with animal transport or kennel maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards both clients and pets.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality service in a salon environment.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
