Job Summary:
The Pet Handler is responsible for the safe, gentle, and professional handling of animals within the clinic. This includes assisting veterinarians and nurses during examinations, grooming, treatments, and surgeries; maintaining cleanliness and hygiene; and ensuring the comfort and safety of all pets in the clinic’s care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely handle and restrain pets (dogs, cats, and small animals) during examinations, treatments, and grooming.
- Assist veterinarians and nurses during consultations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Feed, walk, and monitor animals under clinic care or boarding.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized environment in treatment rooms, cages, and kennels.
- Bathe and groom pets as instructed.
- Observe animals’ behavior and report any signs of illness, distress, or aggression.
- Support the team in cleaning and disinfecting equipment and work areas.
- Assist in moving or lifting animals safely and compassionately.
- Provide comfort and reassurance to anxious or nervous pets.
- Follow all safety and animal welfare protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience in animal handling, veterinary clinic, or pet care environment preferred.
- Genuine love and compassion for animals.
- Ability to safely handle animals of all sizes and temperaments.
- Physically fit and able to lift or restrain animals when needed.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and health care.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
Work Environment:
- Veterinary clinic, grooming area, and animal boarding spaces.
- Exposure to animals, cleaning agents, and medical environments.
- Requires patience, empathy, and attention to hygiene and safety.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
