Duties

• Provide attentive pet sitting services for dogs, cats, and other animals, ensuring their safety and comfort during their owners’ absence
• Administer pet care routines including feeding, watering, administering medication if needed, and maintaining cleanliness of living areas
• Handle animal restraint and manage pet behavior using positive reinforcement techniques such as dog training methods
• Perform basic grooming tasks like brushing coats or cleaning ears to keep pets healthy and happy
• Monitor animals closely for signs of distress or health issues and communicate any concerns promptly
• Assist with veterinary-related tasks when necessary, including animal handling during check-ups or treatments
• Maintain detailed records of each pet’s care routines and behavior observations to ensure continuity and quality of service

Qualifications

• Prior experience with animal handling, pet sitting, or kennel work is highly desirable
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures enhances your ability to provide top-tier care
• Experience working with animals such as horses or in veterinary technician or assistant roles is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or equipment related to pet care
• Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and pet grooming practices is preferred
• Passionate about animal welfare with a proactive attitude towards ensuring pets’ safety and well-being
