Nomad At Home, LLC provides in-home housesitting and petsitting across Multiple service areas. We service different areas of Eastern PA including Lehigh, Berks, Montgomery, and Delaware counties. We offer overnight petsitting, dog walking, dog hikes, and drop-in visits.

Nomad At Home, LLC is looking for Petsitters and dog walkers to join our fast growing team! Hiring for independent contractor positions. We are an in-home petcare provider for all types of animals. The nature of the IC position gives you the ability to approve of and have final say over your schedule.

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Available at least 1 weekday for a midday shift (around 10am-3pm), have some sort of availability/willingness to do frequent or occasional overnight housesitting/petsitting, other hours available and flexible.

Job requirements:
- Must be willing to undergo a general background check
- Professional and punctual email and text etiquette with clients. The ability to communicate with owners clearly in person and/or via written reports (good spelling and grammar included) after walks.
- Able to walk dogs for up to an hour at a time (usually between 1-2 miles)
- Have excellent time management skills
- Comfortable with making commitments 4-6 months in advance.
- Have experience with or be willing to learn to care for less common "pets" such as chickens, small domesticated rodents, rabbits, reptiles, etc.
-Reliability including a dependable car that you are comfortable driving in inclement weather. You are expected to work in rain, snow, wind, heat etc. Your safety will always be taken into account on any given bad-weather day and we will consult accordingly; some walks may be shorter or canceled at our and/or owner discretion but in general and otherwise it is expected that you will show up in spite of any weather conditions and that you will be dressed in clothing suitable for the occasion.
-A basic understanding of dog behavior and body language. Experience utilizing positive reinforcement to manage big, strong dogs which could include Rottweilers, skittish Chihuahuas, hyper Huskies and everything in between. Whether or not you were paid for that experience won’t make or break getting the job; We care more that you have the physical ability to manage a headstrong animal without losing your cool or patience but instead consider it a learning opportunity for everyone involved.
-The willingness to learn and follow directions specific to each household and respective of each pet.
-Comfortable with or willing to learn Google Maps or similar.
-Comfortable taking pictures with your phone or willing to learn.
-Comfortable installing and becoming proficient in (it’s super easy) a new app on your phone specific to the business.
-Comfortable mostly texting but sometimes talking on the phone with company owner and/other employees regarding work matters.

* Holiday availability and prior experience in petcare or with farm animals a huge plus!
