Overview
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Pet Sitter and Dog Walker to join our team. This role involves caring for pets in their owners’ homes, walking dogs, and ensuring their well-being through attentive animal handling and care. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, excellent communication skills, and experience in pet care or veterinary-related fields.

Duties

• Provide daily pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and engaging pets in play and companionship.
• Walk dogs regularly, ensuring proper leash handling and safe outdoor activity.
• Handle animal restraint safely during vists.
• Perform pet grooming tasks such as brushing fur or cleaning ears as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of pet behavior, health concerns, and care routines for each client.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ status and any concerns that arise during visits.
• Assist with pet training exercises to promote good behavior and obedience.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to animal handling best practices and heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or equipment.

Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in pet sitting, dog handling, or veterinary support roles such as veterinary technician or assistant. Experience with animal restraint, pet grooming, and kennel management is highly desirable. Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures will be considered an asset. Strong animal handling skills, including equine experience if applicable, are important for success in this role. Excellent customer service skills are essential to build trust with clients and ensure a positive experience for both pets and owners. Candidates must be physically capable of heavy lifting tasks associated with pet care supplies or equipment. Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 15.0 per week
