NO PHONE CALL INQUIRIES PLEASE! : Red Dog Sitting Services (www.RedDogSitting.com) is seeking highly reliable, professional, and animal-loving individuals to join our team for part-time pet sitting and dog walking assignments. This is very rewarding work with generous compensation that requires special dedication and attention to the needs of both pets and the people who own them. This is a long-term opportunity (short-term candidates will not be considered) and we are seeking people who are flexible, willing to work, and who are available for the next nine months or more. REQUIRED:

-available for long-term work through the year,

-willing to submit to a background check,

-reliable transportation and proof of vehicle insurance,

-mobile telephone with texting and picture/image capture and sending capability,

-living in or very close to the 5 Points, Bankhead Highway 35801 area

-ability to conduct pet sits or dog walking assignments alone - no children, pets or other dependents accompanying into client homes or on dog walk,

-available to conduct pet sits and dog walking assignments on a consistent basis according to the availability information you provide,

-physical fitness to conduct multiple dog walks, handle larger, hyper dogs, clean litter boxes, scoop dog poop etc.,

-available on relatively short notice for last-minute client requests for services,

-able to handle peaks and lulls in assignments from week to week,

-strong written and verbal communications skills,

-strong schedule management skills and timeliness,

-able to provide at least three personal or professional references

NOT AT ALL REQUIRED BUT NICE TO HAVE:

-verifiable background in animal care (vet clinic, shelter volunteer work, pet sitting, dog walking, etc.),

-available for overnight pet sit work involving staying at a client's home from early evening through following morning

• Are there any kinds of animals, pets, or dog breeds you would NOT be comfortable handling pet care for? Yes/No. If yes, please indicate which:
• We have an important and thriving side business in poop scooping client yards. The pay is great, even better than for pet sitting and dog walking, and with the equipment we provide you, almost no direct contact with poop (unless you step on it, ha). Flexible but traditional hours, typically Monday through Friday between 8am and 4pm. If you are interested in joining us as a scoop tech, it will be possible for you to handle both pet care and scoop work. Please do not say yes to improve your chances of being hired, it's okay to say no, but please let us know if you are interested: Yes/No
• Please provide your home address or at least your street name, city and zip code so we can confirm you are close enough to the clients we need help with:
• What are the qualities that would make you and excellent pet sitter and dog walker?
• If we were to hire you, what would your general availability be like to handle assignments? Please be as specific as possible about each day of the 7-day week and the times/hours you would be available. Please keep in mind this is a part-time job opportunity with us but the better your availability is, the more work opportunities we may have for you.
• Will you be leaving a full-time job to start a job with us? If so, please describe if you will be seeking other part-time jobs or if you have other commitments (university, caring for family, private business endeavor, etc.). We want to understand how you support yourself financially to determine if this part-time job is suitable to your needs.
• Please describe how many hours you would like or how much income you are hoping to earn weekly if we hire you.
• We provide 'overnight' care for several clients. This involves an uninterrupted stay at the client's home by you (only you - no human or pet guests) from about 6pm in the evening until 7am the following morning. Availability for overnights is not mandatory but is another way to pick up assignments. Let us know if you would be available for these (Yes/No) and and if 'Yes', any limitations to your availability.
• Please describe the vehicle you will use to commute to assignments: Model, Make, Year, City Miles per Gallon (estimate), miles on your vehicle
• We do not require staff to be available during major holidays but these are busy times for us so it is part of the hiring equation. If we were to hire you, please describe what your anticipated availability would be like for Spring Break, Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July (including the days around the holiday), Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving week and Christmas and New Years week. Be as specific as possible about any days you would be unavailable, if you will be traveling out of town during this time, etc.
• What would your availability be like to handle pet sitting and dog walking assignments specifically between 11am and 1p, Monday through Friday?
