Responsibilities

• Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and engaging pets in play and companionship
• Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring safety and exercise needs are met with enthusiasm
• Monitor pet behavior and health, recognizing signs of distress or illness, and communicate any concerns to pet owners promptly
• Handle animal restraint safely during grooming, veterinary visits, or medication administration
• Maintain cleanliness of pet living areas and ensure proper sanitation of equipment used during care
• Follow specific instructions related to each pet’s routine, dietary needs, and medical requirements
• Offer additional services such as pet grooming or basic training to enhance the pet’s well-being when appropriate

Requirements

• Prior experience with dog training, animal handling, or veterinary assistance preferred
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of animal restraint techniques and pet care best practices
• Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as bags of pet food or crates when necessary
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Reliable transportation to visit multiple clients throughout the day
• Passion for animals with a genuine desire to provide compassionate care in a lively environment
