Pet Sitter & Dog Walker - Part-time

Pet Sitting Pawfection is hiring dependable, professional pet sitters and dog walkers who care deeply about animal safety, client trust, and delivering consistent high-quality service.

This is a long-term, SUPPLEMENTAL, part-time W2 employee position designed for individuals who want to grow with a professional pet care company. This is not a temporary or “in-between” job.

Hours start around 3 to 5 hours per week and increase over time based on performance, availability, and demand. Shifts fall between 7 am and 9 pm in 2- to 3-hour blocks.

Reliable transportation is mandatory, including the ability to transport pets to emergency veterinary care if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-home pet visits and dog walks
• Safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
• Complete detailed visit reports with photos and videos
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members
• Follow company policies and care protocols exactly
• Clock in and out of all visits accurately
• Maintain punctuality and reliability
• Represent Pet Sitting Pawfection with professionalism and integrity

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):

Applicants must meet ALL requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable vehicle and transportation
• Smartphone with app capability
• Ability to lift 60 to 75 lbs
• Physically capable of 60-minute dog walks
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Comfortable driving in varying weather conditions (within reason)
• Comfortable working in homes with security cameras
• Able to pass a background check
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented

Training & Onboarding:

• Minimum 2-week paid training period (may not be a consecutive 2 weeks)
• 90-day probationary period
• Online onboarding via Gusto (completed immediately after offer acceptance)
• System and policy training
• On-the-job shadowing with experienced team members
• Ongoing training throughout the year
