What You’ll Do

Each day looks a little different, but responsibilities may include:

• Dog walks and exercise visits
• Feeding and fresh water
• Potty breaks and litter box care
• Medication administration when needed
• Basic home care while clients are away (bringing in mail/packages, rotating lights, checking doors, etc.)
• Sending visit updates with photos/videos through our company app
• Providing reliable, compassionate care that helps pets feel safe and comfortable in their own home

You’ll work independently during visits, while still being supported by a connected, communicative team.

Scheduling & Availability

• Part-time flexible scheduling
• Visits are scheduled between 7:00 AM–9:30 PM, 365 days per year
• No guaranteed hours initially
• Team members are expected to complete at least 15 working hours per month in the first 90 days and increase after that.
• Additional opportunities often become available for dependable team member

Applicants must:

• Be 18 years or older for a background check
• Have a reliable personal vehicle and valid auto insurance
• Own a smartphone with a data plan
• Be comfortable using mobile apps and communicating professionally
• Be capable of walking strong dogs safely on leash
• Be able to stay active throughout the day and lift up to 30 lbs
• Be able to walk approximately 1 mile in 20 minutes

Education Requirement:

Certified Pet Sitter Certificate- if you do not have- we will pay for your access to the certification online- 13 hours.

Training & Support

• Paid training provided
• Professional pet care certification provided by the company
• Self-paced online training completed within the first two weeks

Pay & Benefits

• Employee Position
• Training pay: $14/hour ( in person)- up to 5 hours
• Standard pay after training: starting at $16/hour
• Advancement opportunities up to $20/hour based on performance and responsibility

• REQUIRED: Please write a fake message update to a pretend pet sitting client ( write it as if it's TO the client) about your visit as their pet sitter with Atta Boy! after the following visit scenario: You arrived at a clients home for your 2nd visit (for a once a day visits- for 5 days) with two indoor cats: Bob and Tom. You only see one cat- Bob- but Tom is no where to be seen- you did see him yesterday though. All the cat food has been eaten out of both bowls. The water bowl is a little dirty and half full. There are 4 normal poops and 4 pees in the litter box. There is one small pile of hairball/vomit, on the fancy looking carpet. Client Note Say: "Feed cats 1/4 cup dry food each once a day, give fresh water, clean litter, play. PS- The maid is coming today."
• What days and time windows of availability do you have? We offer services 7am-930pm Mon-Sunday. Pet Visits are on average 30 minutes or 60 minutes typically.
• Do You have PERSONAL Vehicle that can transport a pet ( car, SUV, truck etc), a valid Drivers License and Current Vehicle Insurance? ( YES/NO)
• Do you have a Personal Smartphone with a Data Plan and are comfortable taking quality photos, videos and using apps? (YES/NO)
• Do you acknowledge this is a part time position with flexible + random hours (1-20 hrs /week) that will never have an option of 'Full Time' ?
