We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, pet care professional in the Plaza Midwood and NoDa area solely for our clients in the 28205 zip code.

This position would be perfect for a candidate that lives in or near the 28205 zip code looking for flexible hours, with a main availability for our evening hours. Generally clients needs for pet sitting are between 4pm-6pm and then again between 8-9:30pm. The ideal candidate would have consistent availability during some or any of these time slots mentioned and have a genuine love for animals, strong handling skills, and experience in pet care. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate pet sitter to join our pet care team for our evening and weekend pet visits. This role involves providing exceptional care for our clients pets, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness during their owners' absence.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes, ensuring they receive appropriate exercise and mental stimulation
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
• Maintain detailed records of pet activities, behaviors, and any health concerns
• Ensure the safety of pets during walks and visits by adhering to safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ well-being and any concerns that arise
• Handling feeding for both cats and dogs, along with their in home care needs i.e litter boxes, play time, and human interaction.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in pet sitting, dog walking, or animal handling is highly preferred
• Ability to handle animals safely and confidently
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and their well-being
• Reliable transportation to travel between client locations as scheduled
• Must be reliable and able to adhere to a schedule with reliable transportation
• A detailed person who is able to catch small things and read instructions thoroughly
• Must be able to work independently and make decisions in the moment

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
