Farley Pet Care is a professional, vet tech-owned pet sitting company serving St. Petersburg, FL. Founded by Erica McChesney, CVT, we have built a trusted reputation since 2017 for skilled, compassionate, expert-level care — with a specialty in senior pets and those with medical or special needs.

We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated animal lover to join us for pet sitting visits, with the potential to grow into midday dog walks as our client base continues to expand.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

- $15.25/hr

- Federal mileage reimbursement for all work-related driving

- W-2 employee position — this is a legitimate employment relationship, not a 1099 contractor arrangement

- Hours are not guaranteed and vary week to week — this role works best as supplemental income alongside another source

- Hours start at 0–15/week and grow with client demand

- You will drive your own vehicle to each client's home

- Florida heat and afternoon thunderstorms are part of the job — visits happen rain or shine

REQUIREMENTS

- 18+ and able to pass a background check

- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle

- Smartphone with ability to use apps — we use Time To Pet

- Another source of income — hours are not guaranteed

- Reliable, detail-oriented, punctual, and a clear communicator

- Genuine love for animals, especially those needing specialized care

- Commitment to the role for a minimum of one year
