Pet Sitter/Dog Walker

Job description:

We're looking for passionate pet sitters and dog walkers who have previous professional experience caring for pets. You should have excellent communication skills, be able to manage your time effectively, and enjoy both working independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Have access to a vehicle
• Live in Chicago and can easily access the Northside and near Northside neighborhoods (Lakeview, Streeterville, Lincoln Park, Old Town, West Town, Bucktown, etc.)
• Flexible Availability within the hours of 9am- 2pm Monday through Friday & some weekends
• Additional Availability during the holidays including Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter Holidays, New Years
• Availability to do overnight visits is a PLUS!
• Pass a background check

Qualifications:

• Must be an animal lover!
• History of caring for animals professionally
• Excellent communication, follow up, and time management skills
• Experience with pet shelters, rescue groups, and veterinary offices is a plus

Benefits/Pay:

• $20 for an hour visit/walk, with services starting at 30 minutes (not including tips and surcharges)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive pet care, including feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed.
• Utilize effective time management to maintain a schedule for pet visits and walks.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any concerns through the completion of a journal after each visit.
• Communicate clearly with back office and follow through on all scheduled visits.

Job Type: Part-time
