Pet Sitter/Dog Walker

The Compensation Package

We value our team’s dedication and provide a tiered pay structure to reward your time:

• Standard Rate: $15.00 per hour.
• Peak Performance Pay: Earn $20.00 per hour for all evening, weekend, and holiday assignments.
• Employment Status: This is a year-round, part-time position offering consistent, flexible hours.

The Role: Your Daily Routine

As a Dog Walker with Southern Paws, you are the primary guardian for our clients’ companions. Your day will include:

• Canine Exercise: Leading safe, invigorating neighborhood walks and outdoor play sessions.
• Feline Care: Providing companionship, feeding, and litter box maintenance for our cat clients.
• Routine Management: Strictly following owner instructions for meal times, medication administration, and home security.
• Client Advocacy: Using our mobile app to send "post-visit" updates and photos so owners know their pets are thriving.

Shift Availability

We are currently filling positions for daily walkers. Please note that weekend and holiday availability is a core requirement for this role.

• Midday walkers 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Basic Requirements for Success

To ensure the safety of our pets and the reliability of our service, candidates must meet the following:

• Maturity: You must be at least 21 years old.
• Transport: You must possess your own reliable, insured vehicle (this is a mobile position requiring travel between multiple homes daily).
• Animal Comfort: You should have a natural affinity for both dogs and cats and feel confident handling various breeds.
• Physicality: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, heat, or cold).
• Autonomy: As a field-based role, you must be a self-starter who can work independently without direct supervision.
