Position Summary

We’re hiring dog walkers and pet sitters to care for pets in their own homes, providing daily walks, drop-in visits, and vacation care. This is a perfect opportunity for animal lovers looking for meaningful, flexible part-time work.

Key Responsibilities

• Walk dogs safely and responsibly on leash in all weather conditions
• Provide feeding, litter cleaning, medication, and basic pet care for dogs, cats, and small animals
• Visit pets at their homes on a regular, consistent schedule
• Communicate with clients via our app with visit notes and photos
• Monitor pets’ behavior and well-being, and report any concerns
• Represent Platinum Paws with professionalism and kindness

Schedule & Availability

• Part-time employee position
• Must be available at least 3–5 weekdays (typically 10 AM–4 PM)
• Weekend, early morning, and evening pet sits are available for additional hours
• Holidays are a plus (with bonus pay)

Requirements

• Genuine love for animals and comfort around all breeds and sizes
• 18+ years old with GED or High School Diploma
• Live in or near Washington County,
• Have a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver’s license
• Smartphone with internet access and a camera
• Ability to pass a background check
• Able to walk 1–5 miles per day
• Excellent communication, reliability, and time management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pet care, dog walking, or animal handling
• Knowledge of basic pet first aid or willing to be trained
• Comfortable walking and driving in all weather conditions

Pay & Benefits

• Training and meetings are minimum wage at $15/hour
• Your pay is 42% Commission Per Visit completed.
• Holiday pay is double pay
