Pet Sitter/Dog Walker

At our company, we prioritize providing exceptional care for our clients' pets when they are unable to do so themselves. We currently serve various locations including Newton, Maiden, Hickory, Vale, Lincolnton, and Conover. Specifically, we are looking for individuals who can assist us in catering to clients in the Hickory/Newton area. We are looking for candidates that live within 15 miles of Hickory in order to serve clients in Hickory/Newton.

As part of the role, your responsibilities will include visiting clients' homes to engage with their beloved cats, dogs, birds, and other pets. This may involve following specific instructions regarding feeding, providing water, and administering supplements or medications. You will also ensure the safety of the pets during outdoor and indoor play, as well as provide exercise through leashed walks and play sessions. Additional duties may include handling pet waste and documenting pet care using our software.

We value flexibility, and our ideal candidates would be available for early morning shifts between 6am-12pm, mid-day shifts from 11am-5pm, or evening shifts from 4pm-10pm. Work full time during the week? We are also looking for help during all shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Since this is a part-time position, we are willing to work around your existing college class schedule or full time job schedule. Working hours may vary to accommodate client needs, including weekends and holidays.

Having reliable transportation is essential for this position, and you must be able to provide proof of a valid driver's license and insurance. While prior pet care experience is preferred, we are willing to provide training for the right candidate. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a criminal background check.

In terms of compensation, we offer an hourly base rate, mileage reimbursement, and the potential for tips. Typically, hourly rates range from $12.00 to $20.00 per hour.
