We are seeking a skilled and experienced Petrol Engine Mechanic to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining petrol-powered vehicles in a busy workshop environment. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair petrol engines and related vehicle systems
• Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, engine tune-ups, and filter replacements
• Repair or replace faulty engine components including spark plugs, pistons, valves, fuel injectors, carburetors, and timing belts
• Diagnose fuel, ignition, cooling, and exhaust system issues
• Use diagnostic tools and computerized equipment to identify mechanical faults
• Perform engine overhauls and rebuilds when required
• Test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper performance
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Keep the workshop clean and organized
• Follow all workplace health and safety regulations

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of petrol engine systems and automotive mechanics
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good teamwork and communication abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
