Join our dynamic healthcare team as a PFT & CPAP TECH (Respiratory Therapist, LPN, EMT) and become a vital part of delivering exceptional respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient settings. In this role, you will perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs), manage continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy, and assist with airway management to improve patient outcomes. Your expertise will support critical care, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine departments within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pulmonary function tests (PFTs) to evaluate lung capacity, airflow, and gas exchange in diverse patient populations.
- Set up and monitor CPAP machines for sleep studies and therapeutic use, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures, test results, and patient interactions in compliance.
- Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated, cleaned, and maintained to uphold safety standards across inpatient and outpatient environments.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with relevant state licensure.
- Ability to perform pulmonary function testing accurately in outpatient clinics or inpatient units.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are a plus.
