Position: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Biology
Department: Science
Grades to Teach: CBSE Grades 10, 11 & 12
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
Preferred Qualification: Candidates from IIT, NIT, Central Universities (or other reputed institutions) preferred

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAcademic Delivery

• Teach Biology (Botany & Zoology) to Grades 10, 11, and 12 as per CBSE curriculum.
• Prepare structured lesson plans, teaching modules, presentations, and digital learning resources.
• Deliver engaging, concept-oriented classes focusing on real-life applications and scientific thinking.
• Conduct practical sessions and laboratory activities ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Integrate modern teaching tools, ICT resources, models, and animations to enhance learning.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Prepare question papers, worksheets, assignments, periodic tests, and board-level practice materials.
• Assess, record, and track student progress regularly.
• Provide timely feedback and implement remedial/enrichment classes as needed.
• Prepare students for CBSE Board Exams, Olympiads, NEET foundations (if applicable), and competitions.

Student Mentorship

• Identify learning gaps and provide personalized support.
• Motivate and guide high achievers as well as struggling learners.
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and inquiry-driven classroom environment.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain lesson plans, lab records, student registers, and CBSE documentation.
• Ensure adherence to CBSE norms, internal examination processes, and school policies.

School Engagement

• Participate in science exhibitions, fairs, workshops, field trips, and academic events.
• Be actively involved in departmental meetings and professional development programs.
• Communicate effectively with parents during PTMs and other interactions.

2. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSEducational Qualification

• Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Biology, Botany, Zoology, or Life Sciences.
• B.Ed. is mandatory as per CBSE norms.
• Preference for candidates from IIT / NIT / Central Universities / top-tier institutions.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of teaching senior secondary Biology in a CBSE school.

Skills Required

• Strong conceptual knowledge of Biology (Botany & Zoology).
• Effective communication and excellent classroom management.
• Proficiency in using digital boards, simulations, and online teaching tools.
• Ability to design creative teaching-learning materials.

• Strong ethical and professional conduct.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
