Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated PGT Biology Teacher to teach Grades 11 and 12 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, practical lab experience, and the ability to make biological concepts engaging and relatable for senior secondary students preparing for board and competitive examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured and engaging Biology lessons for Grades 11 and 12 as per the CBSE curriculum.
• Teach major units including Botany, Zoology, Human Physiology, Genetics, Ecology, Biotechnology, and other senior secondary topics.
• Prepare students for CBSE board examinations and competitive exams such as NEET, as per school policy.
• Design and evaluate class tests, assignments, worksheets, and project work to assess student learning.
• Conduct, supervise, and guide students during practical sessions while ensuring compliance with lab safety protocols.
• Use demonstrations, models, diagrams, and digital tools to enhance understanding of biological processes.
• Maintain detailed lesson plans, lab records, student performance data, and periodic assessment documentation.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to plan interdisciplinary academic initiatives, field trips, and science events.
• Participate actively in school events, science fairs, nature clubs, and co-curricular programs.

Qualifications and SkillsEducation

• Master’s Degree in Biology/Life Sciences/Botany/Zoology with B.Ed (mandatory).

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in Grades 11–12 at a CBSE or equivalent institution.

Skills

• Strong command over subject matter with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex biological concepts using diagrams, real-life examples, and models.
• Competence in conducting practicals, maintaining biological specimens, and handling lab equipment.
• Familiarity with CBSE assessment patterns, NEET-oriented preparation techniques, and competency-based learning.
• Proficiency in using digital teaching tools, simulations, and smart board presentations.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to stay on campus and contribute to the residential school environment.
• Ability to mentor students beyond classroom hours through supervised study, doubt-clearing, and academic counseling.
• Participation in academic planning, student guidance, environmental activities, and school community programs.
