Job Title: Computer Teacher (CBSE Curriculum)

Location: Narayana Etechno School, Vellore

Department: Computer Science / ICT

Reports to: Head of Department / Principal

Job Summary:

The Computer Teacher will be responsible for teaching Computer Science and Information Technology to students as per the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will foster digital literacy, computational thinking, and coding skills while ensuring effective integration of technology into the learning process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Computer Science / Informatics Practices / Artificial Intelligence as per the CBSE syllabus.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and digital learning resources aligned with CBSE guidelines.
• Instruct students in topics such as:
• Basic computer operations and applications
• Programming languages (Python, C++, etc.)
• Internet safety and digital citizenship
• Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Emerging technologies (AI, Data Science, Cloud Computing – as per CBSE modules)
• Conduct practical sessions in the computer lab, ensuring safe and effective use of equipment.
• Evaluate and grade students’ classwork, assignments, and projects.
• Prepare students for CBSE board examinations (for classes IX–XII).
• Maintain and update student performance records and submit reports to school administration.
• Manage and maintain computer laboratory systems, software, and peripherals.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate technology into various subjects.
• Encourage students to participate in IT-related competitions, coding clubs, and exhibitions.
• Stay updated with CBSE circulars, NEP 2020 guidelines, and new educational technologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications (BCA, B.Sc. CS, etc.)
• B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms)
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science / MCA preferred for senior classes.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school preferred.
• Freshers with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude may also apply.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of CBSE Computer Science syllabus and exam patterns.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++).
• Familiarity with educational technology tools (Google Workspace, MS Teams, etc.).
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and presentation skills.
• Ability to inspire students and make technology engaging and relevant.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
