Job Title: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Computer Science / Informatics Practices (CS/IP)
Job Description:
As a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Computer Science / Informatics Practices at a CBSE Board School, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to Classes 11 and 12. You must ensure adherence to the CBSE Senior Secondary CS/IP Curriculum, with a strong focus on conceptual clarity, practical programming skills, database management, and preparing students thoroughly for Board examinations in alignment with the NCERT framework.
1. Key Responsibilities:
Academic Delivery:
Teach Classes 11 and 12 Computer Science / Informatics Practices, covering core units such as:
Board & Competitive Exam Preparation:
Design coding assignments, theory assessments, practical worksheets, mock tests, and Pre-Board examinations aligned with the latest CBSE Sample Papers and marking schemes.
Practical & Lab Management:
Manage the Computer Laboratory, ensure proper system configuration, supervise practical examinations, and guide students in project development as per CBSE Practical Evaluation Scheme.
Project Guidance:
Mentor students in developing Python-based and database-integrated projects, ensuring originality, documentation quality, and viva preparation.
ICT Integration & Innovation:
Utilize digital tools, coding platforms, online IDEs, LMS platforms, and interactive teaching methodologies to enhance programming proficiency and problem-solving skills.
2. Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
Master’s Degree (M.Sc./MCA/M.Tech) in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
Professional Degree:
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the Senior Secondary level (Classes 11–12), preferably in CBSE-affiliated schools.
Language Proficiency:
Excellent command and fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
3. Essential Skills:
Programming Proficiency:
Strong command over Python programming, SQL, database connectivity, and logical problem-solving.
Conceptual Clarity:
Ability to explain computational thinking, algorithms, data handling, and networking concepts in a structured and simplified manner.
Analytical & Debugging Skills:
Capability to troubleshoot code, guide students in debugging, and analyze student performance for targeted remedial support.
Laboratory Management:
Knowledge of computer lab setup, software installation, cybersecurity basics, and conducting practical examinations efficiently.
Classroom Management:
Ability to create a disciplined, collaborative, and innovation-driven learning environment for senior students (ages 16–18).
4. Desirable Qualifications:
CTET/TET:
Valid CTET Paper-II or State TET qualification will be an added advantage.
Digital Certifications:
Certifications in Python, Data Science, AI, Cybersecurity, or proficiency in LMS platforms (Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams) and coding platforms will be preferred.
