Job Description

As a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Economics at a CBSE Board School, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction for Classes 11 and 12. You will ensure strict adherence to the CBSE Senior Secondary Economics Curriculum, fostering strong conceptual understanding of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Indian Economic Development in alignment with the NCERT framework, while preparing students effectively for Board examinations and competitive entrances.

1. Key Responsibilities

Academic Delivery:
Teach Economics to Classes 11 and 12, covering core areas such as Microeconomics (Consumer Behaviour, Producer Behaviour, Market Structures), Macroeconomics (National Income, Money & Banking, Government Budget), and Indian Economic Development.

Board & Competitive Exam Preparation:
Design structured lesson plans, practice worksheets, case-study-based assessments, mock tests, and Pre-Board examinations aligned with the latest CBSE Economics Sample Papers and marking schemes.

Data Interpretation & Case Study Approach:
Train students in analyzing economic data, interpreting graphs, solving numerical problems, and writing structured answers as per CBSE guidelines.

Project Work & Internal Assessment:
Guide students in completing mandatory project work and practical files as prescribed by CBSE, ensuring compliance with evaluation schemes and viva-voce requirements.

ICT Integration:
Leverage digital tools such as Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, MS Excel, and online economic data sources to enhance conceptual clarity through charts, data analysis, and real-time economic case discussions.

2. Eligibility Criteria

Education:
Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Economics with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

Professional Degree:
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the Senior Secondary level (Classes 11–12), preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school.

Language Proficiency:
Excellent command and fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.

3. Desirable Qualifications

CTET/TET:
A valid Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II or State TET qualification is an added advantage.

Digital Certifications:
Proficiency in LMS platforms (Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams), digital assessment tools, and data analysis software such as MS Excel or basic statistical tools will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
