Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum & Instruction: Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for senior secondary classes, teaching English language, literature, grammar, and composition.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Assess student performance through various methods like tests, assignments, and projects, and provide constructive feedback to guide their improvement.
  • Classroom Environment: Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and productive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Student Support: Offer individual guidance and support to students, helping them develop critical thinking, analytical reading, and writing skills.
  • Exam Preparation: Prepare students for board examinations and competitive assessments, focusing on conceptual clarity and academic success.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrative staff, and parents to support overall student development and address concerns.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on modern teaching methodologies and digital tools, and continuously work on professional development to enhance teaching methods.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Participate in and potentially lead extracurricular activities related to English, such as literary clubs or writing competitions.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Master's degree (M.A.) in English Literature or a related field.
  • Certification: A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or an equivalent recognized teaching certification.
  • Skills: Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience: Prior experience teaching in a secondary or higher secondary school setting is often preferred.
  • Other: Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and digital tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,517.98 - ₹47,627.15 per month
