Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in English
to teach students of Grades IX and XII as per the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, a creative teaching approach, and the ability to inspire students to develop critical thinking, language proficiency, and literary appreciation.
Key Responsibilities
Teach
English Core and English Elective
to senior secondary students as per CBSE norms.
Prepare
lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
aligned with learning objectives.
Develop students’ skills in
grammar, comprehension, creative writing, and literary analysis
.
Prepare students for
CBSE board examinations
through planned revisions, mock tests, and guidance.
Encourage participation in
literary activities
such as debates, dramatics, elocution, and creative writing competitions.
Incorporate
ICT tools and modern teaching strategies
for an engaging classroom experience.
Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide
timely feedback
to students and parents.
Contribute to
curriculum planning, departmental meetings, and co-curricular initiatives
.
Uphold discipline, academic integrity, and a positive learning environment in the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree in English (mandatory).
B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
Experience
Minimum
3–5 years
of experience teaching English at the senior secondary level in a CBSE school preferred.
Skills
Strong command over English language and literature.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to engage and motivate students.
Familiarity with
CBSE syllabus, marking schemes, and academic standards
.
Work Environment & Expectations
Conduct regular classes as per the timetable and additional remedial sessions when required.
