A PGT Hindi Teacher is responsible for teaching Hindi language and literature to senior secondary students, creating engaging lesson plans, and preparing students for board exams. Key duties include delivering lessons, managing the classroom, assessing student performance through assignments and exams, providing academic guidance, and participating in extracurricular activities like debates and poetry recitations. Key responsibilities

  • Instruction and curriculum: Develop and deliver comprehensive lessons on Hindi literature, grammar, and composition that align with the school's curriculum.
  • Student assessment: Design and administer assignments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student progress.
  • Academic guidance: Provide constructive feedback, offer remedial support to struggling students, and mentor them for board exam preparation.
  • Classroom management: Foster a positive and respectful learning environment, encourage student participation, and maintain discipline.
  • Extracurricular involvement: Mentor students for Hindi-related competitions and organize cultural events, such as those for Hindi Divas.
  • Parent communication: Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and performance.
  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades.
  • Professional development: Stay updated on new teaching methodologies and collaborate with other staff members.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Master's degree in Hindi and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) are typically required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in teaching Hindi, preferably at the senior secondary level and in a relevant syllabus (like CBSE), is often preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong knowledge of Hindi language, literature, and grammar, and the ability to create engaging lessons are essential.
